    3. Boosting energy and reducing stress, another common reason for the use of ginseng.
    4. Ginseng is also believed to lower blood sugar level, in type 2 diabetes

    6. Helps with erectile dysfunction and hepatitis C.
    7. Helps in controlling blood pressure.
    8. Relieves symptoms of menopause.
    9. And used as an anti-aging supplement.

    Ginseng is found in the form of tablets, capsules, powders, teas and creams.
    Now adulteration is very likely with ginseng products so be careful when purchasing to ensure the quality and concentration of ginsenoside. Also be careful not to use in pregnancy and breast-feeding.
    As a stimulant, ginseng might cause some side effects including, insomnia, nervousness and agitation. It may also cause diarrhea, headaches and rash.

    Ginseng lowers blood sugar level, so it may be used in type 2 diabetics but only after consulting with a doctor.
